The Best Fudge in Town

Set on Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile, The Fudge House is one of the city’s hidden gems.

As one of the few remaining independent artisanal shops on Edinburgh’s busy Royal Mile, The Fudge House of Edinburgh, started in 1949, is a hidden gem. Brothers Giancarlo and Paolo are the third generation of fudge makers to produce their sweet treats, which are adored by locals and people the world over. Drawing on their Italian heritage, they combine a passion for flavours and aesthetic perfectionism with a traditional fudge recipe based on Scottish Tablet, just like their grandmother used to make.

With tablet and over 25 different fudges to choose from, their shop is a sensory delight; the flavours wide-ranging and delicious, their display is enticing, and the smell and sound of their fudge being made is guaranteed to get your tastebuds tingling.

With an in-store deal to fill a box with 10 bars of fudge for just £16, it’s possible to try a selection at a steal of a price. For traditionalists, there’s Vanilla, Highland Cream and their award-winning Butter Tablet, whilst for the more adventurous, why not try the Lemon Meringue Pie or Rocky Road Fudge? And keep a look-out for seasonal flavours and new additions, as the brothers love to get creative!

Pop into their Canongate store, or check them out at fudgehouse.co.uk.
